Your tasks:

  • You will be part of our agile platform engineering team, consisting of Scrum Master, Product Owner and 4 DevOps.
  • You will take over the further development of our self-developed shop platform infrastructure with focus on scaling and stability.
  • You share responsibility for our systems and processes in live operations by monitoring SLAs, response times, latencies and resource usage.
  • Just like your team members, you always want to stay up-to-date and therefore keep yourself informed about current trends.
  • You have a 24/7 on-call duty (approx. 1x per month) in rotation with the other DevOps.

What you bring along:

  • You are familiar with the use of cloud services, Kubernetes, containers (e.g. Docker), version control (Git), infrastructure as code (Terraform), continuous integration and automation.
  • In the best case, you already had first contact points with distributed, modern architecture (microservices), monitoring (e.g. Prometheus, Google Cloud Operations Suite), GitOps (Flux) as well as tracing (OpenTelemetry).
  • You have experience with running web applications and have deep Linux knowledge as well as fundamentals in software development (e.g. Java, Node.js, Go, React.js, Next.js, TypeScript).
  • You have a certain penchant for sarcasm, but are still professional when it counts.
  • You can communicate well with your colleagues (German B2 level, English B1).
  • You are resident in Germany.
